Artifacts:

The Tennessee State Museum in Nashville, TN has approximately 30 gifts in their collection. A list of the gifts can be seen at the link below. Most of the gifts are not on public view at this time as the institution is in the process of planning a new State Museum which will open in the Fall of 2018. Several doilies (#6.440 A,B,C,and D) from the collection are currently on loan to the Alex Haley Home & Museum in Henning, TN and are on display in the house. The remaining gifts are currently in storage but could be made available for viewing by appointment.

Of particular interest is a painting by French artist Andre Astoul (Item #10.259. The painting is called "Le Tigre" and is a depiction of Georges Clemenceau who was a politician, physician, and journalist. He was most notably the Prime Minister of France during WW II.
